AIRBUS ACT SUITE Training Started
NEW AIRBUS CLASSES
147 Through our various seminars, work groups, and conferences, our Type Education Directorate follows an agenda in parallel with airline educational institutions around the world. As a result, the Airbus A320 and A330 ACT systems were installed and started to be used in the world, acting in anticipation that the use of Airbus ACT (Active Competence Training) classes, which are already being used by major airline maintenance training institutions worldwide, will increase the quality and effectiveness of technical trainings.
This system, working in the PC environment for Airbus 320/330 aircraft, facilitates the understanding of the subject matter of the primary association which is described in the books during the course. It is not only the normal operation of the systems, but also the ability to perform fault finding and testing, allowing the engine and APU to be turned on and off many times, making it easy for aircraft technicians to acquire time-consuming and costly exper- tise. Moreover, thanks to these systems, tests and system controls that can not be done easily can be done because it is not a long time or a suitable aircraft to be built on a real aircraft. Due to virtual breakdown procedures which can not be done for real aircraft maintenance training, the operation of the systems can be examined from different angles.
Not only teachers but also students can use these systems as if they were working on board. With the understanding of Active Competence Training, after the student gets the theoretical knowledge in the class, he transforms this knowledge into practice with the virtual plane in front. At the later stage of the training, the teacher creates a virtual fault that he does not know the reason and he can easily access the related documents and decide whether he can give the plane in this way or not. If he can not grasp it, he can find the operations to be done in order to remove the fault and apply it without skipping every step. When it needs to change conponent, it uses the relevant interface to find and change the component that needs to change and makes the flight ready for flight. Thus, in a real aircraft to do the maintenance application is very close to the realization of education is turning into practice.
With the effective use of these classes, very positive feedback has been received from the students. By continuing to follow similar technological developments, we continue to look for ways to make our trainings more effective.
